a good day.

we've been talking about Christ dying for our sin for some time now.
he's always is asking question, wondering about heaven, asking about why He died.
we never once pushed it, saying only that when he's ready we're ready.
and tonight...he prayed all by himself, without us bringing it up.
"dear Jesus, please forgive my sins so i can go to heaven."
and he completely understands.
its simple for him and that is awesome.
"christ died for our sins so that we wouldn't have to and when we ask him into our hearts and ask him to forgive us we can go to heaven when we die."

"The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

pumpkin cookies.

pumpkin cookies
from my mom, gwen ferry
mix:
1 c butter (1/2 butter & 1/2 margarine)
1 c sugar
1 c pumpkin
2 egss
add:
2 c flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
2 t vanilla
1/2 t cinnamon
1 t nutmeg

bake @ 375 till golden, 8-10 minutes

frosting:
2 T brewed coffee (...my sister and i made the mistake of making these when we were little kids & put coffee grounds in them.   it was quite something.)
6 T butter, softened
2 t vanilla
2 t cinnamon
2 c powered sugar

friday phone dump...a few days late.

what does she think she's doing?   ...wearing her "outside" pants.  she crawls around and destroys pants, these are the only ones we let her wear outside.   

i came back from taking pictures for someone to find the fam on a bike ride.   she's loves the trailer and rocks back & forth if you stop.   keep going!!

10 month birthday!

nearly every sunday for 3 years we've gone to qdoba for lunch.   we're creatures of habit.

she's always like this.  right at my feet!

i was in charge of crafts for lane's preschool halloween party.   we did a practice run of the silly spider cups.   they were a hit.

bows!

bedtime snack.   they made chocolate pudding and were equal parts excited & proud.

she got a hold of brothers milk...and loved it.

lane made this little machine for me and put it on my nightstand.  he says it catches all my good dreams and then tells them to me the next morning.  it's still there.

on instragram i said, "this picture would be even sweeter if the nap would have lasted longer than 5 minutes."

vance stayed up till nearly 2 am multiple nights last week making lane's halloween costume.   a fathers love.  you'll see more come halloween:)

last wednesday we woke up to this.   i tried to have a good attitude about it.

halloween party at preschool.

gage snuck into class time after the party.   lane wasn't too sure about his brother being in there.

i'm becoming my mom is more ways than i realize.  

all of my growing up, every wednesday, she went to bsf.

she loved it.

now, every wednesday, i buckle all the kiddos in the car and drive 45 minutes to bsf.

and i love it.   

for quite some time so many ladies at church had been telling me that i needed to go.

i had myself convinced there was way too much homework.  (not true at all!!)

i tried to tell myself it was too far to drive.   (it's SO worth it!)

i didn't want to overwhelm the kids with always having to go somewhere.  (lane has preschool tues/thurs and they are fierce homebodies!...but they love it!)

this year we are studying genesis,  it is amazing to me.

i feel like i've already learned way more i  than ever would have studying it on my own. 

bible study fellowship is world wide.

it's the same study every week everywhere in the world, and the kids learn the same thing we're learning.   (i walked in the nursery to feed logan and they were reading and showing all the babies exactly what verse in genesis they were reading.  it made me smile.)

sorta cool huh?

and it's FREE.   totally 100% free, childcare too.

i love how structured it is, not just a time to sit & vent about personal things.

it's so refreshing to dig deeper and want to dig deeper in the word.

i URGE you, go find one if your area.

logan grace (10 months).

happy 10 months sweetie pie.  you are at one of my favorite baby ages.   confident but still 100% baby.  

you're getting more and more hair all the time.   its red but sometimes the outgrowth looks blonde.   interesting!

your usual look.

such a happy girl.

 you stand on your own easily, sometimes you even dare to take a step without holding onto anything.

waving hi.  you keep your hand waving toward you and open & close your fingers every time.

we think you weigh in the mid 16 lbs.   you wear mostly 6 month clothes, very few 9 month stuff, and if i'm honest...still some 3 month stuff.  you popped your first and only tooth this past month. yay!!

you pull out the scrunchy smile when you think something is extra silly.

your brothers LOVE you and you LOVE them!

lane pretty much only calls you sweetie pie.  "hey mom, get sweetie pie out of the bath tub before me."  and you can do no wrong in lane's word, he lets you pull, push, drool on him.

you are the sweetest sweetie.   mama's girl, always wanting to be held.   you nurse no less than 7 times a day, take 2 solid naps, sleep (most of the time) through the night, on the go(!!!), and are a rolling pin when we change your diaper.   we're hooked on you logan grace, 10 months we couldn't imagine and wouldn't want life before you.   you are love.
