logan gracie (18 months).

renee....i call this the, "hey, what about me?!"

there is no denying it...you are a toddler.

you hair is still the reddest of any of our kiddos yet you are the only one with blue eyes

you are on the go!

you can get to pretty much anything you want.  you know if you aren't big enough to climb up it, then you go grab the step stool to make you taller.

you climb out of your crib.

we call you logan, logan gracie, logan girl, sister, peanut, sweetheart, sweetie pie, cutie, pickle, piddle.

you go to the bathroom in the toilet and have tantrums if you have a dirty diaper & we don't change it fast enough.

you weigh somewhere in the 19 range.   (our goal is 20 lbs by 2)   at 18 months your brothers were both over 6 inches taller than you & 7 lbs more.   peanut.

we have to give you iron everyday to keep you from being extremely anemic.  you don't like it and really don't like getting your blood drawn. (i hate it for you!!)

you can color for hours on end.

you don't watch any tv.

you don't talk either.   the only words you say or "dada" "uh oh" "woof"  that its.

you love, love, loooove babies.   you bounce baby dolls, sway back & forth, burp them, nurse them, and the other day i caught you trying to paint your baby's toes with an unopened bottle of polish.

you follow directions quite well and clearly understand us speaking in full sentences to you.

you can go put stuff in the trash, take your clothes to the dirty laundry, get toothbrushes out, etc. etc...

your drama drives me crazy.

you still love to cuddle, only with me.

you give hugs & kisses on demand or when we say, "i love you".

blowing kisses is one of your specialties.

you always take your left shoe off, leaving the right one on.

you can get dressed on your own.  (which is crazy since your 5 year old brother claims that he "can't" sometimes.)

when you have a dress on you look down and pull on it, eyeing us until we say, "oh, you look so pretty logan!"

you have a sincere love for shoes.

you love bugs.  you'll pick them up outside & carry them around for hours.

if you don't have a hair clip in you hit your head saying, "uh uh" till i put one on.

you hate being in the car and make me on edge.

you watch every move your brothers make but don't venture too far from me.

you are our pride & joy.

i love you logan girl.

hendrix michael // a birth story.

renee gave me the go ahead to post pictures and tell of hendrix's birth.   so...if this sort of stuff isn't your thing, i'll try to have a new post up soon :)

where to begin?!   i'm at a loss for words.  it wasn't even MY birth but just thinking of may 17th, tears well in my eyes and i just shake my head.  and in all honestly, it hits me randomly, i'll be driving down the road and i think of renee & hendrix and the train of events that day and tears roll down my cheeks.   after hendrix's birth, renee started to have extreme hemorrhaging causing seizures and emergency surgery.    this picture from the day after speaks thousands of words.   sweet penny embracing her mommy.   the whole night before we all prayed over & over that penny would have a mama to hug that morning.   thank you Jesus, you are our mighty savior, healer, & creator of new life.
**********

starting the day off.   (during this time i was in the car rushing to get there before baby boy was born...)

((who looks this pretty at 40 weeks?!  renee!!))
grandpa needs to get an award.  he has been there for all the grand babies
births and just as anxious as us girls.

i made it before baby was born!!!  yay!!!

grandma.  she has seen all her grandbaby's first breaths.   amazing!!

 "its go time."

somewhere during this point the dr had warned things weren't going quite smooth.   sorry renee & tom, i know i had my camera down & was raising my hands praying.   missed a gap of pictures...

and he is born!

there was quite sometime before he took his first breath and when he let out the sweetest cry, there wasn't a dry eye.

...dana even joined in on the birth via speaker phone :)
