to my gage, on your birthday.

my sweet gage, today you turn three.   what a fun year it has been with you!   you have grown & changed so much this year.   you are the funniest & most charming boy i've ever laid eyes on.   you have a strong gentle spirit about you.   from the very moments you were born you were ready to be on the go, be big & bold.   you think that you are just as big as lane, always willing to try whatever.   you love your brother to no end, it is quite amazing to watch.   and gage, you love to cuddle.   i will always, always remember that about you.   when we found out we were pregnant with your sister i laid in bed crying and worrying that you'd get lost in the craziness.   we could never loose track of you my gage...you are everything that smiles, a bright spot in the morning & a sweet spot at the end of the day.   we love you so incredibly much!   3 years later and we look at you, just like we did when you were that new baby in our arms, and are amazed you are ours.   you are something else buddy boy.   love you, love you, love you.

...you get to watch one or two shows in the morning.  you love boz the bear, peter rabbit, or super why
...you are SO tall for your age and super skinny.
...you can throw a ball better than me
...you still LOVE your doggie stuffed animal.   it is never not in your arms.
...you have the best giggle of anyone i know
...you have the biggest sweet tooth
...you love to jump out and yell boo to daddy when he gets home from work
...you can put your shoes on by yourself, when you feel like it
...you love to be outside!

pre-birthday birthday party.

gage's birthday isn't technically till wednesday (the 27th) but we had a little birthday party with grandpa & grandma reimer this past weekend.   gagie is going to basically have a weeklong birthday celebration and we're just fine with that, he is much to special to celebrate just one day a year.

he's been saying for months he wants a chocolate cake.   he's always the first one to help out in the kitchen:)
reading books when they arrived friday night.
birthday party time!  a case tractor party:) ...a SIMPLE party!!  after a weeklong of all kids being down & out i didn't have any time to do much planning.   and guess what, he could have cared less...all that mattered was balloons and chocolate cake.
 oh he was so excited!
THREE!
this picture totally captures my gage, his shy coy smile.
 him!

favorite of the day!

of course, lane had to get a chance...
he took one bite.  "my tummy doesn't feel good.  i'm not hungry."   ...but he does have a kool-aid smile:)   (the most red drink i could think of the match case red.)

how many tries does it take to get a family picture?
1.
 2.
3.
 4.
 5.
 6.  ...and we still don't have everyone smiling.
capturing some logan girl.
 present time!!
when i was telling lane earlier in the week about having a party for gage this weekend he thought of picking out one of HIS toys that he will give to gage.  he thought of it all on his own and was SO very excited to give it to him.   (they melt me!)

whats that?!?!  a GLEANER combine!!!

gage has been asking for a gleaner combine for soooo long!!!   he was pretty much speechless.

she makes anything into a purse.
she got a few new bracelets...  (didn't get a picture of lane with his new toy, oh well!)

stayed tuned, more to come of the (almost) THREE year olds birthday week!

valentine's day.

the night before lane made this card to cubbies.   it made us smile.   our sweet boy prays for rain everyday for meade, omaha, & castle rock.   i have no doubt God hears his prayers and will answer to "give the cows green grass."
we started off the morning with heart shaped pancakes with sprinkles of course.
he was pretty excited about his lollipop.   thanks grandma gwen & papa neal!
sister ready to go party it up at lane's valentine's day party at school.

gage wasn't feeling it & spent the whole time on my lap.
 passing out his valentines.
for supper i told the kids they had to go upstairs till i called them down.   they literally scram when they  came down and saw decorations.   amazing how little you have to do to steal your kids hearts.

thank you grandma kay & grandpa dave for the sweet cars & goodies!
logan was so excited about her new purse & jewelry :)

such a special day celebrating how much we love each other!
