i think i'm ready.

this picture has absolutely nothing to do with the post other than it makes me smile.

"not a big deal but it is a big deal" has all thats been going through my head the past week.
ever since logan was born i've had some odd abdominal pain.
the dr said, "oh, you probably strained a muscle while you were in labor with her, just let it heal."
so i've been letting it heal for 16 months.
but it hasn't and some times is much worse.
long story short...
i have a hernia & am having surgery this monday.
..."you've probably had it your whole life but baby number three just put enough stress on your body to reek havoc."
lovely.
so, prayers for a good surgery and SMOOTH recovery would be greatly appreciated.
many times this week i've prayed, "God, you know i don't have time for this, i have three little kids!!"
it appears as though He has other plans and thinks i need to slow down:)
here's to having this BEHIND us & onto a WONDERFUL summer!

**totally annoying, we are completely healthy but this is just one of those things. man-o-man!**

on a friday afternoon.

...we are finally back to spring after a brief snow storm although there is more on the seven day forecast.

...we/i have a long to do list for us/vance to do this weekend. theres always something, isn't there?!

...this top coat is awesome!

...i've cut seven heads of hair this week. whew, its been a busy one!

...today for lunch we ate outside...

they all started out on the picnic table but the boys ditched it for their "hideout".

...we've been putting some summer plans in motion. i can hardly wait.

...speaking of plans, we don't have one single weekend till JUNE that doesn't have something going on. yowzers!

...i bought some new face wash. i'm excited to try it tonight. i often wonder why my skin is more problematic now than it when i was in my teens. maybe God knew i didn't have the self confidence then? not saying i'm super confident now but i do realize a bump here or there isn't the end of the world ;) ugh!

...i'm having mild panic attacks that lane is turning 5.

...today a stranger said (which this comment is made at least during any outing), "oh, you've got your hands full!" lane looks oddly at me and says, "mom, you don't even have anything in your arms."

...ok, time to go head out!

easter 2012.

our church's anual easter egg drop. it was packed this year. like, 3000 people.

typically the kids end up with so many easter eggs that our buckets are over flowing. this year, lane got 2 and gage got 3. oooh well, they didn't need more sugar anyways:)

2 out of 3 looking isn't bad!

my favorite part of the whole day is always afterwards watching the kids just run & play around.

easter sunday!!

she woke up a bit late...

in our easter best. well, logan is :) i sorta had assumed the boys had something to wear till the night before when i was looking in the closet and realized not so much. their shirts were way small. they survived, maybe next year i'll have my act together. oh, and logan's shoes wouldn't stay on without the socks and she couldn't keep her tongue off of new teeth.

(i'm pretty sure i was doing some funny dance moves to try and get smiles. it worked for the boys.)

((mom, this is the dress. remember now? i wore it to our rehearsal dinner 8 years ago. whats more impressive, when vance saw what i was wearing he said, "oh, your rehearsal dress."))

after church we went over to our friends, the browns, house. it couldn't have been a more beautiful day! love any time we get to spend with them!

having our own little egg hunt sunday evening. lane looked for blue ones, gage looked for yellow ones, and logan found two pink ones.

a very happy easter had by all!

major phone dump.

((why do i decide to start a post at 12:15 am?!? ignore all the misspelling & grammatical errors!))

posted this a while back on instagram saying "she has no idea those are going away next week." well, they aren't completely gone yet. like i'd say 98% of the time :)

the 3 little reimers.

15 months & still wearing 6 month pj's.

most days she falls asleep on our way home from dropping lane off at preschool...which is less than 5 minutes away.

i said, "ok guys, lets go to the grocery store." gage instantly goes and grabs his cowboy hat so he can say "yee haw!" while riding the horse there.

it was a rough week for her.

we've lived here for FOUR years!

sleepy gagey.

he is ALWAYS the first one awake.

i was wearing this leather jacket & lane told me he likes it when i wear "pretty dresses and skirts but i still love you mom." his face says it all.

scavenger hunt at pet smart with friends.

i opened up a pack of fruit snacks and noticed one wasn't like the other.

a foot & a half of snow the end of march. go figure colorado.

i'll do anything to make my kids smile.

a bonus to going to church at a movie theatre, we get to play with the movie poster things. i spy lane & logan.

saying goodbye is always hard.

last monday he got tubes in his ears. after 3 years of chronic ear infections we decided it was time. poor guy, i don't think we realized how uncomfortable all that pressure was. the dr said, he is going to be so much happier. and he has been. still feel so bad he had to go through it but really, it was the easiest.

we were back in the car less than an hour after he woke up from anesthesia. HAPPY boy!

she's pretty proud of herself!

i have wanted a rocking chair for her since she was born. finally found one and don't ya know, two of our children BROKE it the NEXT day. we had it for one whole day.
