devils head//the perfect day hike!

the perfect start to summer.   SO much fun!!  outside with family = my happy place.  thanks for being up for it grandpa & grandma!!

it was a few weeks ago and there really isn't anything that special about this picture besides them.   those 3.   my world.   

they were so sweet sitting out there eating supper.  
i was doing dishes when i glanced out the door & it took my breathe away.   my babies.   

ps…and isn't colorado great?!  no flies!  (well, for a few week weeks in september there are some.  we've been spoiled.)

we started a countdown.

9 more days of school!

little math wizard asked if he could have some
extra addition & subtraction homework so he can exercise his brain more.  

a may snow storm + snow ice-cream.

may 12th & there is currently 13" of snow on the ground…and flurries are still coming down.   colorado is so up & down when it comes to spring.   

mother's day afternoon….

                                              

the snow made us stay inside & cuddle the day away.   not the worst thing that could happen :)  …oh yeah, since it was mother's day i got to pick out the movie.  charlotte's web!

 monday morning.

 he traded in his shovel for a yardstick.

gage popped his head in the backdoor while he was playing in the snow & ask, "mom is this enough snow for snow ice-cream?!"  yep!  how did i nearly forget to do our favorite impromptu dessert.

-get a BIG bowl of clean snow

-add 1 tbsp. vanilla

-1/2-1 cup sugar

-2+ cups milk 

alternate adding the sugar & milk till you reach your desired consistency

yum yum and so many smiles on this snowy may day!
