fussy day.

playing in the sink was one of the few giggly times of the day. it really was fun.


when vance got home from work late, he said he was going to go play outside with lane. (giving mom some free time from fussy lane) 9:45...still no vance and baby inside so i went outside to investigate. i found them sleeping together on the swing. my heart melted.

lately we went to our first, first birthday party. look how cute he is sitting like a big boy with all his friends...


lately lane had a high fever and we slept on the couch all night...

swing.

lane turned a whole 4 months on the 16th so we decided he was finally old enough to swing at the park. he loved it. we've gone multiple times since and he is all smiles. we're already looking forward to next summer when we can go down the slide, eat all the wood chips around the playground, and swing even higher. here are a few pictures from his first park experience.


lane has also started doing this crazy smile. kinda like an old man lost his dentures. he does it and makes a high pitched squeal. one of these days he is going to realize he's a lot louder with his mouth open.

you can't go to california without going to the beach...to bad it was too cold to put lane's toes in.

san francisco.

first family vacation. we had such a great time with jeff and dana. they graciously opened their home and took us all around exploring the city. we saw some pretty sweet views, went on our first bus ride, drank awesome hot coco, checked to see if the tanners from full house were home, and of course drove up steep hills. (poor lane couldn't sleep and keep his head up while going up hills) we did so much but enjoyed relaxing at their house eating, watching football, and starring at lane. we so cherish the time we had with the van egdoms!

friday while jeff and dana worked we went on an all day hike through the redwoods. so awesome! we loved exploring and lane loved being outside taking in all the new sights and sounds. we were so in awe that we look almost 200 pics. here are just a few...
