a nebraska christmas.

oh what fun!   7 grandkids (lane at 4 being the oldest) under one roof for over a week.   cousins!   my mom has a sign, "grandma's house.  a place where cousins become best friends."   i so pray that for our kids.

ok, onto pics...i didn't take tons.  if you follow me on instagram you probably noticed we were having the best time.   sometimes you're just too busy to stop & take pictures:)

thanks aunt dana & uncle jeff for the loudest toy ever.   a voice changer.   lane loves it!
we decided to have a birthday party for Jesus a few days after christmas at the bowling alley.   the kids loved it.   us parents thought "this is mass chaos" much of the time but would gladly do it again!

on our way up, fingers crossed.

i had mentioned a while ago that after christmas we all caught a nasty bug.   influenza to be exact.   we've basically been in quarantine.

(bummer, she caught me trying to take some sleepy pics)
the dr told me that one of the complications with this strain of influenza, along with extreme fevers & body aches, is that it seems to settle in your chest easily.
so when the pediatrician told us that all three kids have pneumonia (along with ear infections) tears filled my eyes.   we're slowly but surely on our way to feeling better, for today!
its only january but we sure are looking forward to some warm spring days to open up the windows, air out the sickness, and feel some sun on our cheeks.  soon:)
