whirlwind.

we're still recovering from a whirlwind of a weekend. we drove to vance's counin kenna's wedding in south dakota. 22 hours of driving in (less than) 48 hours...with a one year old. i always dread driving more than i actually should. lane did fantastic, sure there were moments of him crying and him trying to push the latch on his car seat to get out, but everything considered, we are proud and happy to say we did it. one thing that TOTALLY helped was we met vance's parents, ryan, and grandma half way and then all drove together. lane loved getting all the more attention and they loved giving it to him. we're SO glad we went to the wedding! always good to see family you rarely get to see.

buddy rarely sleeps outside his crib(occasionally his carseat) but he climbed right onto grandpa's lap and fell asleep within minutes. all our hearts melted!

right when we got to the reception, lane ran straight into a glass wall. ouch!

jack and lane. these two were too fun to not take lots of pictures of. if lane could talk(or we could understand his constant babbles) i think he would have told us how jealous he is of jack's long hair.

the cake was delicious. i had...2 peices...and lane cleaned the plates. (sorry about the blurr)
