adjustments continue in the reimer house. it's been TWO weeks already and i can only give credit for how smoothly things are going to God. last sunday at church our pastor mentioned he often prayers through his schedule and that has seemed to carry me through my first week at home...by myself...with two kids. praying for lane's adjustment, praying for our trip to walmart, praying for gage's new life, praying for everyday life (which includes a small prayer that i'll get to shower that day). as far as adjusting things for me have been surprisingly effortless. i keep telling myself that things are going to get harder but so far welcoming baby number two has been SO much easier. i feel like when i had lane, defining my role as a mom and who i was to become was difficult. this time around i knew what to expect. yes, it's more work with two kids but i expected it. expected to nurse around the clock, that the minute i lay down baby will wake up, expected not to have time to put lotion on my legs. i should also credit this to a VERY relaxed baby. lane cries much(!!) more everyday than gage. i'm assuming the transition has been the same for vance as it has been for me. every night he gets a few elbows in his side from me telling him to go get gage so i can feed him:) he's the BEST! (have i mentioned how thankful i am that he works hard so i can stay home...because i am!!) for lane...well, this week has been better. he has never acted out against gage, just us. he was a tornado, it was a hard few days. this week he's back to his sweet self. everyday the first thing he says is "baby?" and runs to his crib. although i have yet to figure out how to carry a newborn and a toddler at the same time. (lane often demands "up!") and as for gage, adjusting to life outside of the womb has been good? he sleeps typically 3-4 hours between feedings at nights. eats 2 hours during the day and naps great. he has yet to be awake during any outing. when he is awake he is calm to just sit and watch, just precious! so....that's our life for now:)
pictures from last week...

wow..first of all, i'm impressed that you took/posted so many pictures AND wrote about it all with a tiny newborn baby.
i laughed out loud several times. that first one of lane bouncing gage is SO adorable.
i'm so glad you are THAT mom. please dress them in matching clothes forever. this way they will never know any different & think its what every brother duo does.
haha...agreed!
Baby Gage is so cute and alert. His eyes are so bright and big. It's hard to believe he was only 1 1/2 wks there. Loved all the pictures.
If we're ever headed to Denver, you're the first person I'll call! Please move back to Omaha. We'd love that!!!! Glad to hear things are going so well with your precious little boys.
