slowing down.

being nearly 8 months pregnant is slowing us (me!) down and/or being under the weather has got us beating to a different drum but nothing is wrong with just being home. we came home from kansas a month ago and have been hunkered down since. on nearly any given day, you can knock on our front door to find me still in my robe & pj's during lunch time. (awesome!) my mom was here for nearly two weeks taking care of our every little need. the laundry basket was never full, meals were made & picked up, the boys were never happier. yesterday dropping her off at the airport, tears were shed by all, the great big giant tears that soak your shirt. not sure if its me just not feeling good, the fact that next time i see her i could be holding a baby?, hormones, or how much it totally stinks to live so far apart. (or all the above.) saying goodbyes are the worst! ANYbody is welcome to come keep us company...hint hint:) despite being quiet on the home front, we've had some wonderful times....enjoy LOTS of pictures. (89 to be exact...)

this is what he does when he's ready to take a nap. or he does this and really melts hearts.

taste testing.
its official. they wrestle. every night.

so upset about me washing his blankies, doggie, & red bear.

lane working out. he does this nearly daily. 3 lbs for being 3 years old.
lane taking pictures of his wall. he was pretty proud of himself for decorating it with my bath robe tie.

he amazes me...

and so does this little guy...

bed time story.
they want to be JUST like daddy.

gage hiding. he thinks he's really good at it.
when you ask gage to make his "silly face" this is what he does. he becomes a different person.

lane having a little snack. 2 lb. bag of carrots.
helping mama make caramel apples.
mmmmm.
scrunchy face.

the boys give the baby kisses ALL the time. nothing sweeter.
only with grandma do you make red velvet cupcakes first thing in the morning. the boys' dream come true.

and their absolute favorite. powdered donettes.

talking to grandma kay on the phone, looking so grown up.
this picture cracks me up. he looks 12.
and can't you see him smiling like this for a school picture?
haloween 2011.
lane the traffic light & his buddy sam the car wash.
gage the penguin & ben the monkey. reminds me so much of a few halloweens back.
lane lit the way for us all while trick or treating. he was pretty insistent & excited about being a traffic light. he helped paint 3 touch lights onto some cardboard and when we put it on he kept saying "my LOVE this!"

sam's costume, the car wash, was so great. seriously impressive and so sam!

the kids (plus parents) pre-sugar meltdowns.
grandma gwen was even able to come trick or treating with us! (lane was crying from some odd reason?!)
evening fun with grandma.

the past two weeks we've had two snow storms...i'm already ready for spring! the boys "helped" grandma shovel the drive way...i stood back and took pictures:)

gage shoveled with the a garden tool.
stuck.

twins.
gage's new trick...taking off his clothes at any given time.
building a tunnel with daddy in the snow.
(loooove this picture!!!)

gage and his pet snake (the boys found it outside). not sure he realizes its dead but he carries it around proudly.

bath time + glow sticks = happiness.
bath time lasted for nearly an hour. so many smiles.

whew! lots of pictures...lots of good times.

Oh Celine, there is nothing like having your mothers help! I can definitely relate! I went through many of the same emotions when my mom left..... i kept crying, i had lots of hormones, it was many things. Praying that you will feel ok during this last weeks, I know how hard it is being fully pregnant with 2 little ones, it is exhausting.....
Oh, and I love the glow stick idea in the tub, so fun!
