soft ginger snap cookies.

so, i'm going to start trying to post some recipes.  i'm a huge fan of new recipes & love it when people share favorites, why not give it a whirl ;)
...oh, and no promises that these will ever be super healthy trendy recipes or have great food pics to go with. most, if not all, will have pictures of the kiddos taste testing. (and posting from my phone.)

without further ado..

gingersnaps- i have a soft spot in my heart for these little cookies. dare i say they are even my favorite?  not even sure where i got this recipe but it has never fooled me wrong. yum!


soft ginger snap cookies
1 1/2 cup shortening (i use half butter/half shortening)
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup dark molasses
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
4 cups flour

cream all ingredients together, except flour

gradually add flour

form into smaller shaped balls, drop & roll in sugar

bake at 350 for 8 minutes

My kind of information ;)! Tried and true yummy eats! Tortillas should be next! Made a double batch, froze half, then thawed to test ... And just as yummy!
