gone again.

last week, lane and i headed to nebraska. it was one busy busy week!
-finally got to the dentist. after i had lane i had EIGHT cavaties, yes eight! i had some work done but still have more to do over thanksgiving. they were afraid to do to much while i'm pregnant so we'll just do a little at a time. ready.to.be.done!
-went shopping. lane HATES shopping so we tag teamed him/it. he still outran us at american eagle. he was crazy:)
-lane had his first act of stealing. somehow a single kids nike shox tennis shoe ended up in the diaper bag. i figured lane was a little young to be taught a true lesson on stealing so i just went back to the store and apologized. if i was smart, i would have had him go "steal" the other one...just kidding!
-went out to eat with friends.
-played board games till the wee hours of the morning with renee. guess who and sweet valley high. for snacks, she had string cheese and i had a root beer float. total opposites.
-lane impressed grandpa and grandma with his "talking" skills. ALWAYS babbling! he started saying "bam-pa" when he saw grandpa or was looking for him.
-renee and i got ALL of our continuing education hours!
-missed vance!!!
-flew by myself with lane for the 20th(?) time and decided it will be the last time while pregnant. then i was quickly reminded that if i do that then i'll have TWO kids so i guess i'll be flying with just him again. OR family can come here! (hint, hint!)

good times at grandpa and grandma's!

this picture would be adorable if his eyes were open but i LOVE this picture because it shows off his long lashes. melts my heart!

wagon rides.

he wanted it to be sammie's turn.

we somehow pulled grandpa away from the second half of the nebraska game and headed to the pumpkin patch. it was a beautiful day and we didn't have to fight any crowds since the game was still going on. we all had a good time! lane's grown a lot since last year.

after we had him stand against the cut out to see how tall he was this year, any cut out he saw after that he ran and stood right against it:)

american boy.

if grandma is near, she is ALL he wants.

lane's most favorite part of the pumpkin patch...pony rides!

lane kept up with all of us, handfuls of kettle corn. yum yum yum!

apple sling shot

too bad nebraska lost:(

these pictures make me so happy...he discovered the piano and LOVED it!

lane entertained us with wearing this one evening, making "roaring" sounds. there is never a dull moment with this guy.

we were so excited to get back to see vance but we unaware of what we were getting ourselves into. cold. snow. brr. we landed, opened up the suitcases, and pulled out some of the winter clothes we picked up in omaha. i've been dreading winter for a long time, everyday lane spends a good 2 hours outside playing, what are we going to do in the cold weather? we've been getting a taste of it the last few days and we're anxiously awaiting some warmer days again! i guess we'll just bundle up, head outside, and girn and bear it:)

this, that, and the other.

there is a lot that i could write about but i feel rushed today. so many things waiting to be checked off the list. packing, cleaning, laundry, yada yada yada. lane just went down for a nap so the clock is ticking! promise that one of these days i'll actually write something with some significance...until then here are some pictures of our busy week!

lane figured out that the you can look at the picture on the back of the camera after its taken. so these days i'm getting A LOT of face shots. he instantly grabs the camera, turns it around to talk about the picture.

lane being lane.

weekend tradition. he LOVES sitting on dada's lap while he eats breakfast on saturdays and sundays. its their little "thing."

lane started this new silly laugh/smile. he scrunches his face all together and fake laughs until it turns into a real laugh.

kitchen helper! if lane isn't eye level with whats going on he goes crazy so this is our solution. he normally gets a pile of shredded cheese and a fork and "cooks" while i get supper ready. he is pretty proud that he makes supper these days.

labor day weekend.

this was our third year of going to meade for labor day. another great time! this year was extra special because it was the last time ALL the family is together before jason and lindsey go to peru. it was a fast weekend...if we just could have slowed down time for a while!

new calendars!

swing set...a favorite amongst the littlest two.

third generation supper. the girl cousins decided to give grandma (first generation) and the aunts (second generation) a break from making supper for a night. we think it was a hit. potato bar, cheesecake bar, and chocolate covered strawberries. of course, grandma still made the sweet tea, we wouldn't dare mess with that!

4 generations of reimer men. interesting fact...all the men in this picture have had (or going to have) their second baby at thirty years old.
