evening hike.

this past weekend we went on an evening hike on a trail thats less than 3 minutes from our house. we have no idea why this was our first time on it, but it most definitely won't be our last.

and yes, that is a roll in his hand. he brought it from home and carried it most of the way. just eat it buddy!

last weekend ryan and heather made a trip to colorado. it was SO special to have them here. over and over vance and i have talked about how much it meant that they came to visit. lots of good memories made. i've said it before on here but i'll say it again, if someone loves my kids then they have my heart. my (and i'll speak for vance and say his was too) was happy. and...they've completely stolen lane's heart. he loves his uncle "rhine".

lane found some kids and thought he'd join in on their family picture. and i often times think that he's shy? ha.
i was intending to wear the moby wrap but vance ended up doing so. i love you husband, even if you feel like a dork with this on.

only an uncle would gallop like a horse for twenty minutes of laughter by his nephew. so cute.

have to keep it real. lane threw his biggest temper tantrum ever when we got in the car. he turned into a gremlin. seriously. it was out of control, i started laughing(mean mom i know!).
after we pulled over for a little discipline (i so hope lane didn't freak ryan and heather out too much, they may never want kids after witnessing his craziness) he fell fast asleep. oh...and remember the camel back and how only he wanted to wear it? he also drank all the water in there. so he fell fast asleep after he was disciplined and peed (in a parking lot) for honestly 3 minutes. poor kiddo.

insight please.

so, i have a birthday and christmas coming up that i need to make a wish list for. ha, just kidding. well, sorta.

as of now i don't edit any of our pictures. what you see is what ya get. i'm not really sure where i'm going to find the time to start editing but i would like to have the option of doing so.

all these names are running through my head; photoshop, lightroom, apple aperture, elements, so on and so on.

does anyone have good insight, help, recommendations?
