in lane's world...he's maybe starting the feel better, maybe. we were weary of what to expect of last nights sleeping at home. before, he would normally eat and then go to sleep in his crib for anywhere from 9-12 hours without waking. in colorado he would eat then lay down for about 20 minutes and then sleep and eat right on top of me all night or would cry otherwise. so, we had no idea what to expect. last night, he ate and laid down in his crib and slept for about 6 hours, eat and back to sleep for a few more hours. does he like his crib or the nebraska air? the crib is way easier to pack.
the other night lane would not let me put him down. he was perfectly happy and content to just lean on me. it was so sweet. i have to admit, i loooove these baby moments.

Hey Celine. I've greatly enjoyed reading your blog. We sure hope Lane gets to feeling better! Poor guy. Are you guys moving to Colorado? Where at? We wish you the best and hope packing goes well.

My theory....it's the high altitude in Colorado. The altitude makes it harder for babies to sleep since there is less oxygen. When Maya was a baby baby whenever we would travel out of town (lower altitude) she would sleep all night, but in Colorado, only 6 hours. She is used to it now sleeping about 12 hours a night. I am sure with Lane in his own crib and just a little time he will be sleeping long again, he already knows how.
There is no place like NE...Hope Lane is feeling better!
makes me sick to read about it and to think of lane taking his last nap in his room. it's just not right. we love your home in NE--it was one of our favorite places in the world to go. im not giving up hope that you can buy it back someday. haha (kind-of a joke, but kind-of not).
