rough.

last night was quite possibly our worst night with lane ever...ever! i can understand crying as a newborn baby but as an adult baby it can be overwhelming when you know they don't normally do it. lane doesn't sleep well outside is own home. he'll sleep an easy 10-12 hours straight, at home, so what is so different about other places? here is a recap of our night...

8:00-lane is yawning and rubbing his eyes constantly. we're saying "to bed early, unheard of?!"
8:30-pj's, eat...all the energy he could ever want. smiling, bouncing, giggling. we are kicking ourselves for thinking he was going to sleep early.
9:20-eyes closed in my arms.
9:30-fire alarm in the hotel goes off. sooo loud, we all leave our rooms. smoke in the hallway. (someone burnt something in their room) lane is once again wide awake and ready to roll.
10:30-this time he really is asleep.
12:30-we finish watching the movie, P.S. I Love You, we are both a teary mess.
12:35-lane starts crying. eat.
1:00-calmed down playing with a cell phone in our bed.
1:30-crying again. eat. sleep a few minutes later.
2:30-crying.
3:00-still crying.
3:30-still crying in our arms.
4:00-eat. vance holds him and he falls asleep.
4:30-crying again.
5:15-vance gets him calmed down. sleep.
5:50-vance's alarm goes off.
skip to...
7:15-crying. eat. sleep.
8:45-wake up (his normal time to wake up) all smiles and giggles. acts like he got the best nights sleep. he charms me over with that sweet smile, i somehow forget that i was frustrated with him.

*around 3ish i told myself i deserve to go buy a Caribou coffee today :)
