all sorts of things.

busy and tired. thats us. but this is me lately...
"we slip into believing that it's better to strive for perfection than to accept and offer one another grace. ...what i need as a mother is grace. God's grace, that allows me to fail and try again, that allows me to ask for help when i don't have the wisdom or patience i need, that reminds me we're not alone in this, and that God loves my son even more than i do. ..if you're a mom, what you do is nurture and protect and give grace. you do it all the time, and it's very important because it reminds us, in daily tangible ways how God nurtures and protects and gives grace. and maybe today the one who really needs that nurturing and protecting and grace is you" shawn neiquist "bittersweet"
...thank you, thank you, thank you my dear Jesus. I've needed grace.

*a ridiculous amount of pictures. if you're not family just ignore this post, it may be sorta overwhelming.
appreciate this. way to go starbucks.
gage...nearly 8 months. 19 lbs. got 3 new teeth in one week and two more on the way. slept no more than 20 minutes straight for 5 nights...ear infection.

brothers. we often say how rough lane is with gage. there is a glimmer of hope...the other day at the dr when gage was getting his ears looked at he was crying hard. lane rubbed his belly and kept saying "k" (like "its ok") since then, whenever he cries at home he does the same thing. and today, he wanted to share his lemonade with him, thats a first. but i can't complain too much, lane is the absolute biggest helper; he puts his clothes in the dirty laundry, gets me wipes while changing diapers, empties the dishwasher. you name it, he's just happy to help.

lane...nearly 2 1/2. 33 lbs. sneezing, coughing, snotfilled. hasn't slowed him down for one minute. sometimes we wonder if he has springs on his feet. he jumps everywhere all the time.

me. 28. rise and shine. no make up. and my two year old son wouldn't even show his face, hiding behind a book.
easiest craft ever, not really sure if this even counts as a craft. cut out an "r" and have you son glue it on a pumpkin.

and while he's gluing, try to ignore that your other child is crying.
woooohoooo.

a play date without pictures of the big boys(lane&sam)? thats right, the babies got the spotlight today.
oh ben, you are too cute!

not really sure if this is good parenting or not but hey, it worked beautifully. we told lane if he was a good boy (no whining, no hitting gage, no biting gage) then he could get a motorcycle at walmart. every morning "walmart? cycle?" if he would start to get upset "no. no. walmart. cycle. " at any rate...he earned his cycle and has loved it.

homemade clay.

naps.

yeah, we're back to buying diapers for 2 in our house. gage and bunny.
at the park.

and as you can see i really dressed up for the occasion. ha, i'm a stay at home mom. lets be real.
ready.
set.
go.

:)
how come we didn't know this sweet canyon was MINUTES from our house?! a.ma.zing. seriously, next summer, every saturday.

sleepy (sick) baby. (and i wasn't planning on being on this side of the camera. yikes.)

and then we(lane) went downhill FAST.
saturdays.

really, they are the worlds best rolls. and if you really want to taste something make it with this butter.on a walk.

see him? he's not happy.
and then he gets the best "teething toy"...frozen peaches.
yeah, it was most definitely time for a hair cut.

at "my" salon you sit in the garage and eat great value brand gummy worms. classy.
and then i make you sweep your own hair...that is if you're my husband.
the end.

Vance getting his hair cut: a. impressive that it can stand straight up like that!! b. in the pic where vance is eating gummy worms- do you have his hair cut in a MULLET? it looks like you may have stopped mid-cut to take a photo. if so, he should've kept this mullet for halloween- it would've been awesome! c. vance's hair looks good both long & short
LOVE YOU! and your family and reading your blog!

Looks like you have a fun household. I can tell by the way Gage holds his mouth in the first pictures he is working on teeth. What a long process. Why do they have to hurt coming in? the second set doesn't. Those days WILL come to an end. Loved all your pictures, never to many.
