ouch.

over and done with. monday morning, we woke up the kiddos to take lane to the hospital. i was dreading it, lane had no idea, gage was along for the ride, and vance was the voice of reason. THANKFULLY everything went great! they ended up repairing his abdominal hernia and also an umbilical hernia. lane has been having some separation difficulties since gage was born. church, mops, even if i close the door to go the bathroom he goes into a panic b/c i'm not there. the hospital let me get all washed up & suited to go back with lane till he was under so we didn't have to go through the whole bye-bye thing. during the surgery vance and i cried & prayed and poured out thanks over and over for such a healthy HAPPY little guy.

waiting...and waiting...and waiting for the surgery to begin. vance and gage had to wait in a different room, the whole time "dada?" "baby?" (if you ask him to say gage, he says baby)




lane was a little too loopy to walk when it was time to go home, he liked the nurse wheeling him out. (after insisting the stuffed animal the hospital gave him was buckled in too)

the mister has been pretty on-edge since monday, who can blame him? he has bascially refused to bend his stomach and often says "ouch" grabbing his stomach:( he wouldn't even sit up in bed w/o my help. ouch indeed.
