pieces of december.

"oh hi there. yep, we're still here:)
how have you been? good? glad to hear that. so have we. we've been doing all sorts of stuff. take a look."

this man. he's a crazy crawler. in the past few weeks he's loosing that "baby" look about him. he's standing on his own for maybe 10 seconds at a time, drinking out of a sippy cup, and battling double ear infections.
a typical scene in our home.

the weather here has been unseasonably nice. amazing really. december at the park? why, yes, we love it!

tis the season to have a runny nose.

gotta keep up...

getting brave.
yep, brave indeed.

and yet, even braver.

his favorite, making all the swings swing and running about them all wacky.
melt.my.heart.

for a few days i had talked and talked with lane how HE can go pick out a christmas gift for gage. a gift that HE gets to pick out to GIVE gage, that LANE cannot play with this toy. it took him 45 minutes in the toy isle at target. very carefully and quietly he looked at each toy. hmmm. he finally decided on some kitchen toy that was $50. well, i wasn't so sure about that one. so...we went back to the isle. he ended up picking out a tractor for gage. i'm sure gage will love it. i know i loved this new tradition, so sweet.

gage seemed less than amused while we there though. i'm sure he already ate our "list" he has a tendency to do that, every shopping trip the grocery list seems to disappear in his mouth.
sharing an icee with mama. what a treat.
gage caught in the act of a no-no.
doesn't it look weird to see "merry christmas" written out in sidewalk chalk? shouldn't there be snow on the ground?

seriously, off goes the tv.
the excited face is starting to appear:)
"helping" me address christmas cards.

one of their favorite games. "where's lane?!"

lane is suddenly afraid of the dark. one morning we woke up and almost tripped on him. he said his room was "too dark." pretty sure it was way darker in the hallway and our bedroom than his room but ooh well, mama was just that much closer.
cracks me up, brought his blankie, bunny, tiger, and a bath tub toy. all the necessities.

gage's buddy turned the big one. crazy! that means gage's first birthday is around the corner. *tear*

lane lovin the cupcakes.

the aftermath of naptime the day of ben's party. one too many cupcakes.
once again, melt my heart. sweet baby.

boys being boys.

had to add this one, gage's typical face. he's always scrunching up his lips:)

all the boys in one picture?! wow.

the mccoys came over for a fun play date too. they are by far some of the cutest kids around.
see him? he's in the stage where he gets into anything and everything just because he can. i had mentally blocked that stage out with lane. well, it's here.

eating.

love them SO stinking much.
making our home smell good.
he wanted to sit in the highchair. way too big lane. and he has been in a stage of wanting to wear vance's shirts. he wants to be JUST like his daddy. (although, i don't recall vance ever sitting in the highchair)

washing dishes.
again, silly boy. i think i've said this before but he's gonna just burst one of these days with a goofy personality. he's constantly giving us glimpses of just how silly he's going to be when he's talking and walking around.
and speaking of walking...getting close!
night night.

"hope to see you all soon!"

there are just to many good pictures here! i just love them all! i did laugh when lane had to bring the "necessity's" into the hall to sleep. i liked seeing gage hang out in his diaper...that seems to be the outfit of choice some days around here too!

Oh yea, the excited face! How funny - had temporarily forgot about that. Bring it back.
