i'm sure you're feeling the same way. where has january gone?! february already? february. gage will be one in 27 days. as any (new) mom, i'm sure just like me, you continually think back to what you were doing last year when you were pregnant, about to welcome a new person into the world. well, thats me. everything is "one year ago..." so much has changed. lane is a boy now. looking back, he was such a baby, he now talks in full sentences, can count, its hard to remember sometimes that he is only two. gage, well, thats the understood, he was in my belly last year. today he is well on his way to becoming a toddler. my oh my. vance and i, hmm, not so sure SO much has changed. we're still us...as always, a work in progress.
the boys today. looking out the window. this was gage last year and this was lane last year at this time.
it NEEDS to be spring. the boys need to climb on like a playground instead of poor vance. (...actually, he likes it)
a month or so ago gage started refusing to be fed which has caused some heart ache in our house. control, i like to control what he eats and i don't feel like he ever gets very full on little baby bits of stuff. he flat out refuses to eat with a utensil in his face. lane thought he'd give it a try..."i don't want it..."
"seriously, my hand is up, stop."
"mom, tell lane to stop trying to feed me."
"no. no. no."
"urgh."
an awesome thing about colorado...there is a state park less than 5 minutes from our house. it was fairly nice on saturday so we ventured out for some fresh air. again...here was last year, at about the same time.

lane wanted to show off our lunch. cheetos & sandwiches. yum.

i don't know why i love this picture, his eyes are closed, it just melts me heart!
watch out world...gage is starting to take some steps!
once again, vance ended up carrying both the boys. you think we'd learn lane gives up walking around mile 3.

31 months.

earlier i said we need spring to come. that is TOTALLY true but we can't complain. the other day it was nearly 70. gorgeous. i love an excuse to wear flip flops.
at the park this little guy took his first steps. 11months, 1day. i was so excited clapping & cheering him on that i didn't think to actually pick the camera up next to me to get a real picture.
"ooo, mama's in here"
"ooo, ooooo, oooo"
"wait mom, let me get something..."
"see my doggy?"

"he's my favorite."
"i eat him"
"are you going to get me out?"
"no really, i'm done. pick me up."

my friend amy turned me on to moon sand. it's awesome...
lane loves it.
helping out.
the boys waiting to see daddy come home after work.
he's mastered stairs. they are his favorite toy.
he also thinks that this toy is a push toy.

hands down, still my three favorite boys.
breakfast time.

oh gage...
ooooh gage. how did you get up there?!
eating lunch with our friends.
lane gets to watch 30 minutes of tv in the mornings while i get ready. (or have a cup of coffee.) he loves that little half hour. (as do i.)

once again, helping himself...

...and vance just put a lock in the door tonight. sorry gage.
